A virtual co-op is a partnership between a pre-service teacher and a practicing teacher. The pre-service teacher can create posters, worksheets, tests, and even teach a small lesson for their co-op. The practicing teacher then saves some time but can also help guide the pre-service teacher through different activities/ lesson plans. It is a great way for pre-service teachers to get experience creating material for a real class and for veteran teachers to mentor the next generation of teachers and maybe even learn something new about technology! You can communicate with your co-op virtually (hence the "virtual" co-op!) which allows you to collaborate with teachers from all over the world. You are not just limited to teachers in your district! Essentially, a co-op is just a partnership between two teachers. You can make it whatever you want!
